Finding Freshness in the Urban

One of the things a lot of people really dislike about downtown areas in big cities is that they're so urban, with a relative lack of vegetation and green areas, and even sometimes a build-up of dirt, debris, and garbage. San Francisco is no exception. But we were pleasantly surprised to find a vibrant farmers market staring down San Francisco's City Hall while we were in town.

The Heart of the City Farmers Market runs every Sunday at the United Nations Plaza adjacent to City Hall and features some great produce at the most unbelievable prices. We picked up some great items for breakfast and I snapped the following photos of the bounty available to San Francisco residents (and visitors too!).
