Explore by Foot

While in San Francisco recently for our big wedding weekend with friends, Molly and I did a lot of walking throughout the city, mostly from the North End near North Beach down to our hotel near Civic Center and City Hall. One day, on our walk, I noticed all the wonderful details and characteristics of a big, living, breathing city. Things are ever changing in a town like San Francisco and the same walk two days in a row could be drastically different in the smallest ways.

I want to start sharing some of these details and photographic observations with a series of door photos. I never expected to be surprised and amazed by the creativity and vibrance of these portals. In some ways, the unexpected designs reminded my of the statement pieces of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
