Remnants

I'll blame my lack of blogging since Molly's birthday on recovery - it's tough work to devour a cake that size (and with that quantity of butter!). And we weren't even able to finish it, which in retrospect is probably the smartest decision we'll make this entire year. It was rich, full of a deep chocolate flavor, and a hint of coffee in the buttercream. Here's how it looked after sharing it on birthday night. Can you see how much was left to eat?



And what would a birthday celebration be without a bit of decoration? Ooh-ahh-just a little bit.



Ooh-ahh-a little bit more. But this time in the form of presents! I treated Molly to a Colbie Caillat concert here in Seattle shortly after the big birthday celebration, but these presents were from the family. And that wrapping paper didn't last long on those packages. Happy 27th Molly (again)!
