Go Pack Go!

I briefly mentioned yesterday my excitement and anticipation for Super Bowl XLV. It's going to be an amazing afternoon watching the Green Bay Packers stomp the Steelers! Whatever your plans are for the game, I know that they'll include eyes peeled to the plays, an even closer focus on the commercials (though they've suffered in recent years), and frequent trips to the food table or kitchen. And I'm sure there will be several beverage refills.

I wish I had stocked up on these delicious cookies (seen below) for the Super Bowl. We stopped by local favorite Tin Roof Bakery to pick up a loaf of bread and couldn't pass up picking up two of these macarons to both photograph and eat. With Chico-native Aaron Rodgers as starting quarterback for the Packers, there's a certain fever sweeping over the city that's not always here, as in Wisconsin. It's even affected pastries. We celebrated early by snacking on these - tasty.
