Many of you remember last year's exciting Chico event
Thrill the World. I had a great time photographing children and adults dressed as zombies and the mass of locals who showed up--during the year of Michael Jackson's death no less--to participate in the worldwide dancing of the Thriller dance. Chico participated again this year, though the weather was a bit wetter and the skies a bit more gray. Nevertheless, I had agreed to participate again and was excited to capture an entirely different set of snapshots from this year's event to share with the organizer, Cathy Small-Tuttle.
I don't quite have the details of Thrill the World 2010 yet, but I know that the turnout out was great, the dancers were excited, and there were tons of
new participants. Today's blog entry shares with you all the labors and intricacies of becoming a zombie, which usually involves ratty hair, shredded clothes, and some dark makeup and fake blood. Stay tuned for additional blog entries about the rest of the event and a link to an online collection of photos from Thrill the World 2010 (it's not ready yet).

Wow! Such a great teaser, can't wait to see more of your shots. You are right, the gray skies make for an interesting background.
