Before my trip to Chico last weekend, Molly gave me notice that one of the "garage cats" had given birth to a little kitten. Now these garage cats are, at their best, strays. Were it not for the occasional (or even regular) meal that Molly's dad provides them, these cats would probably not occupy the storage shed near the driveway and might very well move on. But there have always been cats outside and might always be, especially with the birth of new kittens.
Hanna grabbed this little guy and I loved watching him creep around the yard, where the grass was almost as tall as him. I wish I had been able to capture Drifter stalking the kitten, brimming with curiosity.
