A New Promotion

If you've ever shopped for a photographer since the huge sweeping digital conversion, you've most likely noticed that many photographers offer a CD or DVD of the final images from your photo shoot with your session fee. At the same time, many photographers avoid this because they want you to purchase photos through them instead of printing them on your own (which you could do with digital files) and also because the photographer owns the rights to those photos and should have some control over their distribution (which he or she may not if the client has digital copies of them). I've weighed in on this issue by simply not having a voice, by not offering any digital images on file from a client's session.

Eric Lovelin Photography Thumb Drives

Well for a limited time, I'll be offering my clients a thumb drive with web-ready images complimentary with their portrait session fee. That's a whole set of digital photos free, gratis, for nada, nothing, zip, zero, zilch. Here's an important note for my clients: I still encourage you to order high-quality prints with your session. They come on industry-leading archival print paper and far surpass any local lab, drug store, web service, or retailer. Plus, because these are web-ready images, they won't be full size, full resolution, blow-away digital files, so they're really meant for you to post on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, etc. for all the world to see.

Also, keep in mind that your photo session still includes a custom web site with all your images to share with friends and family. I post these custom sites to Facebook and tag you as well, so all your friends will see your amazing images and website! But with your web-ready files on your custom Eric Lovelin Photography thumb drive, feel free to post the images on Facebook and set as your new profile pic. I'll be flattered!

So if you haven't yet scheduled a session for the Spring in Chico, book today and get a thumb drive and web-ready images for free. Psst... once you've put those pictures on your computer, feel free to use the thumb drive for whatever else you want!
