Celebrate Summer

There are so many things that signal the arrival of summer. Having lived in Chico for part of last summer, certainly the oven-like heat that comes in late June and lasts until it falls back into the 80s is a good sign that Spring has subsided. For me, I know it's summer when Nancy adorns portions of the house with freshly cut sunflowers. Just two weeks ago I couldn't help pulling these from the kitchen table and capturing them in the back yard. Stay tuned tomorrow for some macro shots of these beauties!
