Just Animals?

While I certainly have more photos of animals to share with you from our trip to the zoo, such an excursion is not simply about the fun of observing wildlife. The Oregon Zoo, and any zoo generally, is a holistic experience meant to engage visitors with animals, educating materials at exhibits, conservation tips, and even information on nature generally.

Molly and I loved looking at all the vegetation beginning to bloom, itching to burst forth from its winter slumber. One plant in particular was stunning. Vibrant yellow on the inside of the petals and a deep St. Patrick's Day green on the exterior in a sea of like blooms.
