A Noble Fruit

What is not to love about fresh, local fruit? Apples, nectarines, peaches, and soon, mandarin oranges. Up in the mountains of Paradise, Noble Orchards is a historic family farm owned and operated since 1921, now run by Jim and Laurie Noble. On our Passport Weekend tour, we were sure not to miss one of our favorite farmers market vendors on their turf, as it were. And we were not disappointed.

On the Scale

We sampled a great deal of apples and stone fruit and even took a bag of produce home for fresh eating and baked goods. My mouth waters again just looking at this fruit.

Fresh Samples

And since Noble Orchards is a true operating fruit orchard, there were plenty of items laying around to snap on digital film. Best of all, I loved this basket of apples and an old apple box and apple label.

  1. I can't help but to think that that poor market worker has a scale for a head.
