Leave Your Trace?

If you've ever been camping, you know that one of the fundamental ethical principles of outdoor recreation is to "Leave No Trace." The general idea is to enjoy the outdoors with minimal impact on your surroundings.

When I was recently at Gasworks Park in Seattle, we were wandering through the old but now brightly painted metal contraptions. Molly and I turned simultaneous to see that someone had clearly left a trace. While I would never advocate this in the gorgeous outdoor parks and recreation areas in the Northwest, like the Oregon Coast or Lake Chelan, but I will celebrate it here. I think you'll enjoy the playfulness of these photographs.

Left My Mark

And I love the predominance of faded primary colors in this shot.
