Sweet and Juicy

Last weekend I was overjoyed to visit the Chico Certified Farmers Market. It was a warm and sunny morning, and the temperatures were quickly creeping toward the mid-80s by 9:00. Nevertheless, it was awesome to stroll the aisles with Molly, pick up some fresh blackberries, and grab a loaf of all-natural whole grain wheat bread.

We also picked up a handful of a variety of apricots from Chaffin Family Orchards. These apricots were so fresh and ripe that one bite sent a wave of fresh apricot juice down my hand, wrist, and a portion of my forearm. I snapped several shots of the apricot offerings throughout the market, and the first one below was featured in the Chico Enterprise-Record Sweet Basil and the Bee column on Wednesday.
